Pickleball and Low Back Pain: Spine stability to prevent injury!

According to the Mayo Clinic, low back pain is among the top 10 reasons for doctor visits in the United States. It is estimated that about two thirds of Americans will experience low back pain at some point in their lives. Of these two thirds, 37% do not seek professional treatment, which may delay their healing and put them at risk for further injury. Participation in sports increases an individual’s risk of developing low back pain due to impact and extra forces placed on the spine increase from athletic movements. Pickleball is no exception!

Qualify For the 2019 National Senior Games Association National Tournament

Man oh man, the clock never stops, does it? Once again, it’s time to qualify for the 2019 NSGA National Tournament which will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico on June 14-25, 2019.

To be eligible to participate in the National Senior Games, you must qualify in a State Senior Games held January through December of 2018. For additional information on the 2019 NSGA National Tournament and dates for each state games, visit: http://nsga.com/states

West Region Tournament Helps Support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

The 2nd annual Quail Creek Classic Pickleball Charity Tournament was recently held at the Robson Communities Quail Creek Country Club pickleball courts in Green Valley, Arizona. The event was a fundraiser for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the 2018 charity of choice of the USAPA.

Inclement Weather Doesn’t Keep Pickleball Ken Fans Away From Special Evening

It was a night that would keep most folks in the warmth of their home if they had the choice. Heavy snow hit Denver and the surrounding area right around rush hour. Sirens and flashing lights were part of the snowy landscape.
